    • honestly this is such a smart question and i love that you’re correlating this with your thyroid status – most people dont dig into the goitrogen angle. from what ive seen in literature maca itself isnt considered a major goitrogen like cruciferous veggies, but the research is kinda sparse on actual iodine absorption rates when consumed regularly, especially at therapeutic doses. i’ve been tracking maca in my micronutrient app for a few months now and havent noticed any TSH shifts in my bloodwork, but that’s n=1 obvs and you’re right to be cautious with hashimotos where you’re probably optimizing iodine intake already. for AIP
